For our members who had trouble getting down to the floor, our Youth were happy to serve as "scribes." Soon, the carpeting will cover these words from sight, but the prayers behind them will always remain.
Last week, our younger children were able to leave messages on the floor of the children's wing. Today, it was the adult's and youth's turn. Everyone gathered in the foyer to leave a prayer or a scripture verse that will remain in the building as a permanent reminder that God is with us - even if we don't see Him.
For our members who had trouble getting down to the floor, our Youth were happy to serve as "scribes." Soon, the carpeting will cover these words from sight, but the prayers behind them will always remain. On Sunday, March 16th, we gave our children the opportunity to make a lasting impression. We asked them to write a favorite verse or prayer on the floors of the children's wing We told them that their messages were for the children's wing and all the children that would hear about Jesus there. It was wonderful to see their verses and hear their prayers - not to mention see their faces when we said they could write on the floor of the church! Watch the pictures below, and see why Jesus said that we should come as a little child. Over the next few weeks, we will have the opportunity to write our favorite scripture verses, words of encouragement, and messages to our staff and members. Will we do this by sending postcards or letters? No. We will be writing on the floors of our building. While the carpet is out, we will have the opportunity to write something lasting and memorable on the floor of our children's wing and our staff offices. We will be doing this during the Sunday School hour over the next few weeks. More information will follow. Below are some examples of Godly Graffiti already on our floors: |
