Last Wednesday, July 17, ministry leaders came together to begin preparations for MVBC's Ministry Fair in September. Pastor Jeff provided insights and philosophy of service within the Body of Christ and our church family, while Valerie Bodden and Linda Corn presented ideas and resources for how ministries might consider setting up their booths to most effectively communicate information on and service opportunities within their ministry. If you were unable to attend and would like to review some of that evening's training presentation, here it is!
On Sunday, June 30th, MVBC voted to approve both the remodel of the education wing and construction of an administration/office area. Construction may start as soon as the end of July/Early August. All attempts will be made to minimize interruptions to classes and daily operations. We appreciate your patience during this phase.
When finished, we will have a secure children's wing with computerized check-in, a centralized staff work area, larger classrooms, enclosed walkways to the multipurpose room and education wing, and updates to much of the facility (restrooms, foyer changes, etc.).
The staff and church health team ask everyone to remember that a church is not a building, but a group of people called to His purpose. Please remember that no matter how exciting a building project can be, it should never take first place in the life of a church. A building is simply a way to enable ministry, and we feel that this project will enable us to more fully minister to the people of Mountain View and the surrounding community.
If you have questions on construction timing or other details, we will always have the most up-to-date information posted in the multipurpose room.
