OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD - Ministry Help Days
We know.... it's only October, but it's time again for us to roll up our sleeves and be Jesus with skin on! Every year Mountain View takes part in Samaritan's Purse- Operation Christmas Child. This year, R.E.A.L MVBC (that's you, ladies!!) will partner with AWANA giving them a hand with sorting and packing all our boxes. You will have two opportunities to help. Thursday, November 2nd @ 2:00pm the lovely and gracious Stacey Powell will oversee the initial sorting of all collected items. If you would like to bring donations at that time, they would be very welcome. Wednesday November 8th @ 6pm (during AWANA), we will help the leaders and children pack up the boxes. Robbie, our AWANA Leader is requesting a head count for volunteers. Signup sheets for both days will be at the REAL MVBC table in the Multi-Purpose Room. If you can be at either or both dates, please sign up or contact anyone on the REAL Leadership team. Let’s help make a child’s Christmas special this year by introducing them to the Christ of Christmas! Your REAL MVBC Leadership Team, Debbie Eaves, Marny McAlexander, Elaine Tadahara, Suzanne Tegart, Lori Heney, Dava Mustian, Betty Christiansen and Lola Snell Vintage Market Days in Logan

Surrounded by endearing faces of babies and children, nearly 40 MVBC women gathered this past January to celebrate the sanctity of life. Through the powerful story of Abby Johnson, director of Houston’s Planned Parenthood, who crossed the line for life and became an advocate for the unborn child, and Linda Corn sharing her story and testimony of giving a child up for adoption, the women were reminded of God’s unfailing love and redemption. Additionally, our women donated through Wal-Mart gift cards, over $400 to the Ogden Pregnancy Care Center. What a beautiful expression and response from all who attended! Here is the video of this fellowship time which includes our initial welcome, a few minutes of introduction by Tammy Weeks about the Ogden Pregnancy Care Center, and then Linda Corn's sharing. |
