Saturday and Sunday, December 20th and 21st, the worship choir shared the Christmas musical, Majesty of Heaven. The musical was a unique blend of traditional Christmas carols (Joy to the World & First Noel with a twist) and contemporary songs (Mary, Did you Know? & Miracle of Christmas) as well as providing a broad-based set of musical styles from classical (Majesty and Glory of Your Name), southern gospel (Fear Not), and black gospel (Tell It!). There was something for everyone to connect and worship along with. Preceding the musical, a small orchestra shared three numbers culminating in an offertory piece done by brass quintet (O Holy Night). In retrospect, the music and narration was a beautifully crafted retelling of the events that first Christmas. Our Father in Heaven bridged the chasm between His Majesty and our humanity when He sent His only Son, the MAJESTY OF HEAVEN!
