Galatians 3:1-5
![]() Today's observance of the Lord's Supper is an important reminder that God has done through Jesus Christ everything that needed to be done to secure our forgiveness of sin and reconciliation with Him. Christianity is not spelled DO but DONE. To know that we are loved, forgiven, accepted and made absolutely complete in God's eyes because of Christ alone - by faith alone - is indeed good news worth celebrating! Galatians 3:1-5 Video of Message ![]() Peeling back the layers and looking at the brush strokes God uses to develop elders and their qualifications is an important task. In part 2 of our look at Acts 20:17-38 we take a look a closer look at the Portrait of Elders and see how God used the The Gospel, Apostle Paul and cultural and historical circumstances to shape the elders at Ephesus. Acts 20:17-3 Video of Message ![]() It is often necessary to take a step back and look at a painting for what it is in its entirety. So here in the portrait of an elder we are looking at the elders from Acts 20:17-38 in their function and in their duty. In this sermon, we are asking the questions: If you were to look at elders in the New Testament, what would they look like? Or how would you recognize them? Acts 20:17-38 Video of Message ![]() If we've learned anything through the years about prophets and prophesying, it's that a lot of ridiculous, harmful and even evil things can be said and done in the name of prophesying. No Christian in their right mind wants to go down that road! So how does a congregation pursue a passionate desire for prophetic gifts and yet maintain Biblical and social integrity? How can a church embrace the supernatural gift of prophesying, as the Bible instructs, without becoming a congregation of ridiculous, irresponsible even harmful individuals? In today's message, we take a break from eldership and focus on what is involved in becoming a Biblically balanced prophetic people. First Corinthians 14:1-5, 23-25 Video of Message |
