 Though Easter is over, the truths associated with Resurrection Sunday often compel us to linger a little while longer. With that thought in mind, we turn our attention today to a post resurrection, pre-ascension event that has captured the hearts and minds of Christians for centuries. This Sunday, we heard reports from our youth. They willingly gave up their spring break to serve on a local mission trip. Video of Message  Though the gospel writers could have taken us straight from the Upper Room to the Empty Tomb, they instead chose to relate all of the horrific events of Christ's life in the hours leading up to His death. The Passion of Christ, as it is sometimes called, provides many inspiring truths that equip us to live the Christian life for God's glory. But before Jesus can be our model, He must first be our Messiah. In today's message, we look more intently at the "cup" Jesus drank for us and its implications for our lives, especially in seasons of deep trial and hardship.
