Esther 4:14
![]() Our associate pastor, Jeff Winters, teaches us this morning about fully understanding the plan for our lives. God brings us to a certain point at a certain time for His Glory. To understand this more fully, we need to be in the Word - corporately and individually. We need to live in community with other Christians. We need to be on mission - every single one of us - and that may not look like what you expect. And finally, we should celebrate what we see God doing in our and others' lives. Esther 4:14 Video of Message ![]() A few weeks ago, some of our youth showed they were indeed the church of the now by going on a mission trip to Quebec - a place where less than 1% of the population identifies as an evangelical Christian. Today we heard their testimonies and saw what God was able to do through them. Video of Message ![]() In a nation quickly losing its grip on moral and spiritual truth, the presence of the church has become even more important. We who know Christ as Savior are called to stand lovingly yet firmly for the claims of Christ. We are the pillar and support of truth our culture so desperately needs to hear and see. Note; hear and see. Jesus is not only Someone learned about through words but Someone also understood through works. It’s been said that Christianity is more caught than taught-meaning our actions often speak louder than words. Knowing how important actions are in communicating the truth of the Gospel, Jesus has built into His church an Office designed for that very purpose; the Office of Deacon. In today's message, we pick up our study from 1 Timothy 3 and Acts 6 exploring the call and character of the Deacon. Video of Message ![]() There is much we can learn about God through nature, but as glorious as nature and creation are, they do not compare to the revelation of God given through Jesus. The only way to truly know God is through the story of Jesus Christ and only the church can tell that story. Because the church plays such a critical role in revealing God's glory, the Bible places great emphasis on how Christians relate to one another. How we organize and relate to one another goes far beyond our preferences, conveniences and traditions. How we organize and relate to one another has eternal implications. For this reason, we turn our attention back to 1 Timothy 3 where we pick up our study of the second of two offices God has given the Church-the Office of Deacon. Video of Message |
