As we have done for awhile when we take the Lord's Supper, we encourage our members to give their testimonies of how the Lord has sustained, taught, and cared for them. Listen as two of our members - Marijo Burke and Sue Dinsmore - proclaim God's love in their lives. Charles gets us ready for starting 1st John next week with a short message about unity in the body. Drawing from the teaching of Dr. Donald Whitney and his excellent book, Spiritual Disciplines for the Christian Life, Charles shares with us four ways we can intake Scripture, and one powerful tool to use with all four ways. It's a call to the faith family to pray for their pastor's protection from the forces that seek to undermine God's will for a congregation. Video of Message  In Jesus's last words before He ascended to heaven (Matt. 28:18-20), He gave us our mission both as individuals and churches, “Make Disciples”. You must focus, commit, and stay focused on the mission He gave you. You focus by going, baptizing and teaching. You commit by accepting Christ as your Savior and Lord, being teachable, obeying His commands and going to all peoples. You stay focused by not allowing any of the six functions of the church to become its mission, by remembering Who has the authority and by remembering Who is with you at all times. Video of Service  Jesus Christ is greater than all who have gone before him. Jesus maintains everything in the Universe, He reflects God’s glory and character, He is the only one that cleanses sin, and he sits in heaven in a place of honor. His name is divine, compelling and conquering, His name is forever and ever, He is unchanging. We see Jesus as the creator, never ending and over the angels.
