![]() After his love for Jesus Christ, the Apostle Paul could not find enough words to express his appreciation for his fellow workers in ministry. Dollars and Divine Appointments mean nothing without dedicated workers. The church's greatest treasure will always be people - people dedicated to loving Jesus with their whole hearts. Here in 1 Corinthians 16, Paul lists several individuals who played an important role among the 1st Century churches. Including Paul, we have eight individuals whose relationship with the church serves as a model for dedicated discipleship. The two we will look at today are Timothy and Apollos. - First Corinthians 16:10-12 - Video of Message ![]() Fear is powerful. Paralyzing. Debilitating. It separates us from God's blessings, and keeps us from where we need to be. Today we learn about collecting for the saints (Dollars). - First Corinthians 16:1-4 - Video of Message ![]() The reason why death no longer defines us is not because the law was changed to accommodate our sinful behavior, but because the requirements of the law were fulfilled in Jesus. - First Corinthians 15:50-58 - Video of Message Audio of Message
![]() In this section of First Corinthians, after Paul has reaffirmed the truth of the resurrection, there were no doubt questions on resurrection bodies; if a child dies, will they remain a child in heaven? Will we recognize others? What does a seed have to do with resurrection? - First Corinthians 15:35-49 - Video of Message Audio of Message
![]() In today's message, we tackle the concept of baptizing those that are already dead. Although mentioned in one verse, what does the Bible really say about this practice? - First Corinthians 15:29-33 - Video of Message Audio of Message
![]() Christ's Resurrection guarantees that the descendants of Adam who submit to God in saving faith will enjoy eternal life. - First Corinthians 15:20-28 - Video of Message Audio of Message
![]() In a continuation of last week's message, we learn more about the resurrection and why it is a foundational principle. As Paul mentioned about his suffering and his life, without the hope of the resurrection, his life and the preaching of the Gospel would be in vain. - First Corinthians 15:1-19 - Video of Message Audio of Message
![]() Continuing with "the basics" of the Gospel, today we learn more about the resurrection and why it is a foundational principle. As Paul mentioned about his suffering and his life, without the hope of the resurrection, his life and the preaching of the Gospel would be in vain. - First Corinthians 15:1-19 - Video of Message Audio of Message
![]() After passages in First Corinthians on subjects as different as spiritual gifts, marriage, liberty and others, Paul gets back to the basics - the Gospel. We should always remember to keep first things first. Doctrine? Important, to be sure. But the Gospel's simplicity is our foundation. - First Corinthians 15 - Video of Message Audio of Message
![]() From Prophesy to tongues to where men and women fit into the church - it's a good thing First Corinthians doesn't have any "difficult" passages . . . In this message, we learn about how men and women have equal rights, but different roles in the church. - First Corinthians 14 - Video of Message Audio of Message
![]() This is part two on the subject of tongues. In this message we learn about the importance of order in worship, and where tongues fit into that order. - First Corinthians 14 - Video of Message Audio of Message
![]() Having just finished the section on prophesy in First Corinthians 14, we now tackle another "easy" concept - speaking in tongues. Today we learned that we must approach "tongues" through the lens of God's Word, not through man's experience. Tongues today are for the edification of the speaker, not those around them. We were also told to remember that it is not through speaking in tongues that we injure each other or the Church - we seem to do that just fine with English. - First Corinthians 14 - Video of Message Audio of Message
We had a different service this morning to close out the first half of First Corinthians 14; A panel discussion where our three pastors answered questions on prophetic words in the church today, such as, "How do I know if what is on my heart is prophetic or just emotion?" or "How do we determine if the utterances are false?" ![]() Continuing in Chapter 14, we learn more about why prophesy matters. (sorry about the video cutting out) - First Corinthians 14:1-5 - Video of Message Audio of Message
![]() We continue to learn more in First Corinthians chapter 14 on prophesying. After love, the most important gift is prophesying. Why? What is it? ![]() As we wrap up chapter 13 of First Corinthians, we once again restate what love is and is not. While Paul describes what love is and is not using 15 verbs, we may be tempted to view love as something we do. However, we are reminded in the first few verses that no matter how much you do, without love it means nothing. - First Corinthians 13 - Video of Message Audio of Message
![]() As we continue in the Love chapter of First Corinthians, we focus today on one word: Forgiveness. Some translations say "Keeps no record of wrongs" but is that all forgiveness is? Is it a passive ignoring of the event, or is something more active required of us? Forgiveness is not indifference. Loving confrontation is sometimes required. - First Corinthians 13 - Video of Message Audio of Message

![]() Of the 15 verbs used to define and describe love in First Corinthians, the first two are active and passive. Patience requires being passive - well past the point in which another might snap. ![]() Part 2 on defining grace. Pastor Darrell again touches on how love is so important, that without it even the best of intentions, the best gifts, the best acts of service fail to enhance the kingdom of God. - First Corinthians 13 - Video of Message Audio of Message
![]() Moving on from spiritual gifts, we now look at the parts of the body of Christ. Both of these seemingly different topics have the same message - unity. Even though we may have different gifts, or are a different part of the body, we together are all one. Our differences and our gifts are not meant to divide us, but to diversify and unify us for one purpose - spreading the Gospel. - 1 Corinthians 12:12-26 - Video of Message Audio of Message
