Exodus 13
Today's service centers around the Lord's Supper, the Christian version of the Jewish Passover Meal. Passover gets its name from what the Lord did or more specifically did not do when He saw the blood of an unblemished Lamb applied to the door posts of Hebrew homes in Egypt. He 'passed over" the house and did not kill the firstborn child. Those in Egypt who did not apply the blood of an unblemished Lamb to their homes were visited by death. This final act of destruction upon the Egyptians signaled the release of God's people- their Exodus from Egypt. Just as the Israelites needed to memorialize their deliverance from physical bondage so we need to celebrate our deliverance from spiritual bondage. Hearing the stories- the Exodus stories- of fellow Christians is a huge reminder that God’s hand of deliverance is just as strong today as it was in the days of Moses. With that in mind, today's service includes the testimonies of three Mountain View members who have experienced God's hand of rescue. Exodus 13 Video of Message Comments are closed.
